Honesty Pays Off

My dad, stepmum and me were going out for our dinner on Sunday evening, when my dad had to drop by at Crown Princess to pay the balance of a person's buffet, as they had a group buffet gathering last Thursday and one went to the toilet as a result they miss calculate a head.
While we were waiting for him at a parking lot for about 5 minutes, we saw my dad walking towards the car with a smile on his face, my stepmum ask him" what is with that smile?'' "The assistant manager said why not you have the buffet while you pay the balance of the other day, but I told him my wife and daughter is waiting down there, so he said ok, ask them to go for the buffet as well."
So we ended up having buffet at Crown Princess. All 3 of us for the free!

Here is how the whole story goes:
My dad: I come to pay the balance of the last Thursday buffet, as there were a total of 13 person but the waitress miss calculated to 12 person, as one went to the toilet. I was busy last week so didn;t manage to come back, that was why I had to come today.

Superviser: Oh, you came all the way just to pay this?

My dad: Yeah I came all the way from Sri Gombak

Supervisor: Well, since you are so honest and came all the way, why not you have a free buffet?

My dad: But my wife and daughter are with me, and they are waiting for me.

Supervisor: Ask them to come as well and 3 of you can have buffet dinner, you just need to pay for one person.

My dad: ok.

Being righteous pays off!!!
