First week of school in Destiny Academy

This is the first day of preschool and kindergarten holiday program which I am currently handling. I have a total of 10 kids in the class now. Kai Ling has a huge intermediate and senior class but most of them are just here for the holiday english class. Its fun teaching the kids. Different kids have different characteristic and each has to be handled with love.

This week just passed by fast although many said it would be tiring for me but I don't feel exhausted handling them and looking forward to meet them the next school day.
One thing which I noticed is that when kids age 3-6years are told not to do so, they listen and will accept correction.

Break at Awana Kijal, Terengganu

Last supper
Awana Kijal

I've recently went for a short break with my parents to Awana Kijal, Terengganu. It has been a long time since my last visit in Terengganu. A very relaxing trip, beautiful place, but didn't went down the beach as the wind was too strong, although it didn't rain, many reports of a flood coming, but the through out the entire trip was hot and sunny.

We went to see the petroleum crude, it was such a magnificent structure, it really amazes me that this can be found in our country!

The next adventure was that we went for stuff crab, erm...not really facinating. my dad says, cheese crab is better! That would be next eating trip in KL.

David Proposed!

David proposed to me on the 21st October 2009.

This is what happen: He was suppose to take me out for dinner at 8pm, he even asked me what I wanted to eat so I told him what I wanted to eat, I told him I wanted to eat nasi bryanni. On the way, he had to turn back as he forgot to bring his wallet. So we went back to his house, I was in the car waiting when he called me and told me to come in as he needed help so I off the car engine and went down....."Surprise"!! He prepared a very romantic dinner for me-chicken rice, steam otak-otak and mango yogurt as desert.

After dinner, he came out with a white rose on his knees down and proposed.

" Will you marry me" he said.

" Only a rose?"I said

" No, look inside the rose."

"OO....erm can I consider?" was my answer

" How Long?"David said.

erm...

"Cannot, cannot, no time already." David said

"YES, I will marry you!" and then he put the ring on my finger.

Revival on the RUN

Sorry for the long pause of updates, as last month was a really busy month preparing for the nations arrival to Muar for the Global Leader's Meeting and International Pastors Training. And right after the conference, we went to Ipoh and Johor Bahru to bring the revival across this land.
The conferences were awesome in both places which I was there, it is only when you are at dry places, you will realize how full are you to give out to those who are thirsty and hungry. Both destination had a different bondage. Ipoh was full of sorcery and Johor was full of deception blinding the eyes of the people. We went there to break the enemies camp and set the captives free! It was a war that we have won the victory. Coming back with a full victory on our side was an unspeakable joy!!

It does not stop here as we are continuing to take more territories for His Kingdom. Check out for the next Revival Roadshow!
Just a litter appetizer for my readers. Our worship team has release an album title "Lord of The Nations". It has a song entitle "Breaking Limitations", which was written and compose by me, of course with the help of my team too.

Graduation Ceremony

A pretty surprise gift from David

With Parents

Finish procession

Was afraid I get tripped

Distinction Graduate-Phua Shyan-Hwei whom I meet there

Dressed on my graduation gown, just in time after a Marathon race

I had my graduation ceremony on the 21st march 2009 in The Concorde hotel Singapore. I was running very late for my rehearsal which was suppose to start at 11am. I reached at 12pm, we took long road instead of a short cut that cut across from the MRT station, but I wasn't late for the ceremony, that's most important. I got dress on with my graduation gown and took my graduation photos and proceeded on the ceremony, everything just happen so quickly, and ended earlier than it was scheduled. At least there wasn't such a long speech given by the guest of honor, which was good!

There were many graduates from all over the world- Korea, japan, Indonesia, Philippines...This Diploma from Associated Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM) is recognized throughout the world and is a gold standard award. I didn't realize that their standard was set so high that only 200 graduates passed this professional exam over 3000 candidates, they said that they would need to set a high standard in order to associated with this level of professionalism. Well, I should be proud I finally got through it.

I also meet a girl whom I met during my examination day last year, and we rejoice for our achievement, as we remembered we were so anxious on that day.

I did wish my late mum was there as she was the one who made me determined to finish my piano, it was her wish to see me becoming a piano teacher one day. My mum saw that future ahead of time. Thanks Mum, I hope you will be very proud of this achievement. This achievement is not only mine but is partly yours as well.

Golden Girl

Golden Girl with a Golden Smile
Jolly Issac Pastors

10th March- A surprise celebration for the "Golden Girl" you can guess her age...haha

We had all the KL Isaac Pastor gathered at the bible school Unit 3 hall. I was so surprise when I entred in as I didn't expect my TCC church members to invite such a whole load of people, some which I never knew!

Aunty Nancy got a call and was told that someone was waiting for her, to talk to her. So hurriedly, she "ta pao" her porridge from Uncle Sam's Cafe, which was her supper and came up to the bible school. Everyone was in the dark for a while waiting in silence.
Door open. "Happy Birthday...!!" everyone sang the usual song.

A lovely time we had while aunty Nancy gave a short speech of appreciation and as well, it was like another session from Dr Jonathan as all the pastors were commencing in parts of his preaching. Is like the transferable of legacy, passing down to his "SONS". Now they talked like him, quick learners, hahaha...

But I enjoyed it, maybe its my first experience:) Lots to learn and improved in managing accommodations. I am glad to see my church friends from KL and from Kuching as well for this GEAR and to support me as well!

Joy Kids

This is my 3 week teaching the Joy Kids, my group of children are Indian kids and they can't speak English well, so I have to use Bahasa Malaysia to teach them, I was nervous at the beginning as my bahasa is almost half a bucket full, searching for the right vocabulary to every words while preparing my teaching lesson. But with adequate preparation and with God's grace, the words just proceeded out in liberty.
A mother was sharing yesterday, that the children really enjoyed the sessions and are eager to come, she could see a change in her son's life, being more obedient . She was almost in tears when she shared that. I was really encourage and praise the Lord of His works in the kids life. Last Sunday, I had all the kids sat in the front 2nd and 3rd row to write notes of the message, each of them came and show me their notes end of service and to my amaze, even the little ones could write good notes!
I pray for all this life to grow in advancement of HIS KINGDOM. They are His beloved ones! "Let the children come to me."

Thoughts...

Time might seem slow here in Muar, but it really isn't true as its my second month already. Life is just really quiet and peaceful here and most of my time spend would be at home, busy doing research, watching Chinese series drama or doing some baking, cooking...
I miss time back in KL, my friend told me today that she misses those time when I was around. I do miss those time as well, old things has to past, or new things won't be able to come, but I was really touch to hear that. For a second thought, I wish clock would turned back:)

First Valentine

Had a rough day in the morning, 3 of my staff were quarreling with one another and I had to deal with all 3 of them. Now I understand how is like to manage people, its not easy especially when they are from small towns, they never know what is company policy to abide and other standard procedures a staff has to follow. It is difficult to set their mentality accordingly, but in certain things I am training them and probably in certain areas I would need to have leniency too.
Anyways, off the above situation, we celebrated valentine a day earlier on Friday instead as we had to have worship practice on Saturday which was good as well, as usually Valentines day, all prices goes up. Valentin didn't occurred in my mind till David reminded me of it. It was a surprise where he arranged a spa for me (to cool off...haha) and we had dinner in a dimmest cafe ever"Zane Cafe" and finally he gave me a rose which made up my day!
Besides my Valentine story, another interesting story took place early on Valentine morning, Susanne got a call from a flower shop saying that they had a bouquet of flower to deliver to her, she went down from her room and got her flowers which was from Jaya, how romantic Jaya could be!!! That was a surprise and am sure a surprise to all who knows Jaya...hahaha

Added Team

An added staff to my team today, her name is Aunty Sock Heng. She is really hardworking, efficient in her work and particular of detailed cleanliness and I am glad that she can be part of our team as she would be able to motivate the rest of the team.
Before, I was really hoping that there would be one more to join our housekeeping team as I felt that there is still a lack of one man power. My request has been answered but now, I do hope that 3 of my staff would work well together as a team.

The End of Meeting Needs

I was down when I heard my pay here would be 3 quarter of what I used to earn back in KL, as you know Muar is a small town and living expenses is not that high, but still from a top earner and back low down is quite a blow. Nevertheless, my brokenness never last after pouring out to my dad and my friend + colleague, Renee, I felt a whole lot better! God heard my hearts cry and gave me His Words that He will meet my every single needs.
The following day, Dr. Jonathan also preach that every needs can be meet by 5 simple ways:
1) I must stay in the purposes of God always.

Roman 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Joseph brother sold him as a slave into Egypt, being alone in a foreign land, having nothing in hand must have left him devastated, but God meant it for good.

2)I must stay under the protection of His covering always.

We are living under a Mighty Authority that is God.
Covering includes those in authority of our lives too, parents, Pastor, leaders as their authority will protect us.

James 4:7-8 Submit yourselves, then to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners and purify your hearts, you double minded.

3)Stay open and align yourself to the proceeding Word of God always.

Even when the Word comes to our thoughts, act upon it. His Word must change our lives. It is like a seed which must fall on good soils and not on grounds which would destroy or lay to waste.

4)I must stay connected in partners in Destiny.

Acts 4:23 On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.

They were connected with a company of people in the same destiny. We need this kind of people in our lives as they are our strength in times of need, to encourage and pray with us.

5)Stay in the attitude of enduring prayer.

Ephesians 6:17-18 Take the helmet of salvation and sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the spirit on all occasion with all kinds of prayer and requests.

Pray consistently! Faith and Patience will inherit the promise.

Malacca Day Trip

-The Alley-at the Jonker Street

In a Nyonya House

David's Roots

Trying to get a reflection shot

Kevin and Phoebe sent me off to Malacca and meet up with David there, we went for Baba Nyonya food at Jonker street. Malacca is a world heritage place of its unique buildings build during the Dutch and Portugal's reign. There is so much to see at Jonker Street and even in a small town, people queue up for food, long queues, I don't even see that in KL.

2009 Chinese New Year

Added family-the dog, Puffy

My grandma who has a lovely smile

My Cousins and Aunties

Chinese New Year for this year is very different.

Firstly is that, now I have to balik kampung which is Kuala Lumpur, oh well others balik kampung, I balik bandar, but its a benefit for me as usually the traffic jams on the other side.

Secondly is that this year I spend more time with my family instead of going visitations.

Thirdly, Ang Pau is the smallest this year, hm....or maybe I am getting older?

David says that Chinese New Year reminds him of the memories of younger days which were so much fun. Its true too, I miss times like those- playing firecracker, aunties and uncles playing with me, a noisy big house, eating all the junks and drinking all the fuzzy drinks.

Or maybe its because we were a kid, that's why we felt so much fun? But those were the days and I believe that there will be more exciting days ahead even as a grown up too!

And in order to have it happen, I believe that you have to feel it in yourself and you have to make it happen!

YOU CAN MAKE YOUR WORLD BEAUTIFUL .

My Working Team

Joshua

Leviyal

This are my working team mates, Leviyal and Joshua at Citadel Heights. They are a great help to me especially during my first month of work here, getting use and to know the properties which I need to handle here. Still getting to know them ...but two qualities I could see in them (at the moment) is that they are very responsible and hardworking. It's fun to be able to work with them, Joshua is the handy man one who would make jokes and humors me! And Leviyal is a responsible house cleaning maintainer.

Well, I wouldn't say its a bed of roses in work, but people sharpen each other and most importantly is that I need to have wisdom to learn the positive qualities of others.

Fish SPA

Medium size fish, didn't take the big jaws

Cuties-baby fish

David took me for a fish SPA at Mid Valley Megamall and he had a relaxing leg massage. My first experience in being food for the fishes...hee hee...it was really ticklish at first, but after a few minutes of torturing, it was enjoyable. There is 3 sizes of fishes, the small, medium and large fish, I wasn't allow to try the big fish as it was said to be aggressive, I could imagine..!! My foot might be gone...haha.."just joking". It seems to have a list of benefits doing this, example promote blood circulation, lighten scars, dead skins..... David said that they could say anything and claim every benefits, no know whether its true or which is true.

Appreciation Nite

A gift from the music ministry, thanks guys, miss serving with you guys!

Time Together As a Family

Our Aunties

Triumphant Christian Centre had their appreciation night on the 18th Jan 2009. David and me went back on that day to spend this special occasion with our extended family in Christ. Thoughts were floating in my mind on my way back, missing KL was part of it and to see my family was indeed an anticipation moment. I was glad to see those that were there, even though there were a lot fewer people now but those were the "BEST" people God has choose to stay and finish the " Triumphant Destiny"!

Words of appreciation from my dad, mum, Bruce, Stephanie to all young and old, each one has contributed in one or another way, and most importantly is that You have stand along side strong and mighty in Faith with Pastor and what the Lord is doing in this church! God can only work with such a generation who is one in heart with the set man of the house. And in due times, you will see your rewards, not only rewards for your family or yourself, but rewards that would flow through you to others.

Let us have a mentality for others and not just for our self, when we think in this manner just like Gideon having a heart for his people and nation, God will be able to raise you up for great things!

Get Ready for the New!

We had our combine cell group yesterday evening, Pastor Helen Khong shared on "THE NEW CHANGE"

God is releasing new things in our Life and we must be ready to take heed once we hear from HIM. Sometimes we are so comfortable of our old usual ways but if we want a New Malaysia to rise, we must first be a New Self! Change when God speaks to us that this or that needs to change...lifestyle, the way we relate to others, our thinking pattern.....etc

Just look around and we can see from era to era, we no longer live in the same technology years ago. From Keretapi Tanah Melayu train to KTM (Komuter Train)-LRT (Light Rail Train)-Monorail...and what's next? There is always advancement in technology, and technology makes our life easier and faster so as our life in Christ must be the same, no longer we shall struggle in life unnecessary because we move in accordance with His Spirit.

God never works the same, He always works differently and full of amazement. Never ever was a miracle the same nor a process of victory similar. The Joshua Generation never had the same attack strategy given by God in times of war, but they had thier victory when they obeyed.

That is why we need to always be at the current update of His Spoken Words.

Not so adventure walk

I went for exercise around the seaside early morning today, ended up being lost in the town of Muar didn't know how to get back home. I walked almost for 4 hours asking around for directions till I finally manage to get back to my trail road. This is how it happens when you are a stranger in a town.
But this taught me and made me realize that I had strong endurance and never easily to give up although I almost wanted to, but I don't have a choice or I will be stranded in a nowhere place without my handphone to call for help.
While I was walking and walking, in my heart I was telling God "Please give me strength to walk back."
Thank God I am back home safe! whew....

Being A Part of All Nation Santuary family

Today is my first service with ANS church in Muar. There are so much to learn here, I am thankful that God has prepared me for this journey. I had quite a worship practice yesterday, I was asked to play the 2nd keyboard on my first practice, although I had back up for thier worship practices before, there are new songs which I am yet to learn and so much more.
God is preparing ANS for a course for this nation. Papa Jonathan and Mum Helen are in Soloman Island and Papua New Guinea so Pastor Chung preach today.

MESSAGE FOR TODAY
The Revival Measure must rise to a deeper level
Ezekial 47
1)The first river level:
Cleansing
2)The second river level:
Fashioning our Lives
3)The Third river level:
Infilling of our Lives
4)The fourth river level:
An Outpuring of our Lives

We must spread the revival fire

Let us all get ready for the out pouring and a great harvest of souls.

All of them jump out from the car and sang a birthday song.

Stephanie made my dad's favorite carrot cake with my recipi for his birthday.
Thanks guys and gals for doing this and making it a special day for my dad on my behalf.

First Day at Work

My first day at work.
There are 6 properties which I would need to manage. Going to and Fro from places to places is rather a good exercise though. I am still getting adjust to lifestyle here. And I had the opportunity to sit on a bike! Haha...that was fun. We had service yesterday and many who greeted me and ask of how am I getting use to this place.
"Boring leh" thats thier first question to me..hahaa..
I do miss my previous working colleugues back at home, lots of fun in relating with one another. Here, everyone is serious at work. The best part of here is that I get to go home for lunch or rest during my break time! How cool is that, but there is no where else to go.

On Tuesday, I had a friend Eric to visit me here at Muar, what a welcome from KL. Thanks Eric at least I wouldn't feel so out of place on my first day here:)

Today is my dad's birthday, its his first birthday which I am unable to celebrate with him. I miss him dearly, so much...
I LOVE YOU DAD!

Life at Muar

This is my second day at Muar. Got all my stuff unpack yesterday and having my clothes cupboard falling apart almost 10 times just annoyed me SO MUCH!
But its pretty settled well here now.

This morning, Susanne (My house mate) and Me went to the seaside, it was almost a 45 minutes walk. We had to walk at the dusty road with lots of trucks moving on the main road, and then suddenly a different breeze arrived, the sea and nature breeze. It was so windy that my unbrella would go on another direction, but it was a fun walk almost half of Muar town.
The feeling of here in Muar is like a village . It reflects memories back at Batu Pahat where I use to visit and miss. I did had the thought of wanting to stay at Batu Pahat when I was younger ( another small town an hour away from Muar), the smell of the town and city is without comparison, quiet peaceful and without haste.

Well, it seems to me like I am on a holiday rather than having to stay here for good ...!! Which is good then I wouldn't get home sick YET!~ hopefully~

One thing here which I can't adapt still is the HEAT! Wouldn't want to go out often in this weather or I'll be tanned.

This is my new chapter and its so encourage to hear stories of others, how the Lord brought them here to Muar serving together in All Nation Santuatry.

God has choosen a company of people for Himself in fullilling His works in every part of this nation and wherever you are and whatever your do, you are meant for greater heights for THE KINGDOM DESTINY. Each one carries a calling from the Lord, even I might not know why God has brought forth me here but this is a "Journey of Miracle". As you walked with Him, He will open up pathways for you which you nver ever would imgine or think. This is my Faith and the secret of how it works!:)
